ABOUT

   I am an aspiring self-starter interior designer whose practice includes furniture design and home renovations. My practice focuses on two different types of work, client-based and personal. My client-based work focuses on designing spaces, while my personal work focuses on creating furniture, designing personal spaces for myself, or capturing symbolic moments. My approach to furniture design is informed by client needs and is inspired by the specifics of a space. This work ranges from restoring preexisting furniture and creating new works from scratch. Within these work forms there are many factors that I like to focus on and stay consistent in which include, texture, color, movement, and emotion.

        In my personal work I explore different design elements that I have previously used or I include new elements that I have not yet explored with. Some projects I have done have entailed repainting living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, bathrooms, and recently renovating an entire home. In each space, color and flow are the main challenges I like to tackle first; since the mood of the space is created in these two steps. For each project the budget was different when creating. Within these client-based projects sometimes the budget allowed for new furniture to be bought, while in other spaces I had to work with the furniture that was already there.

        My work is mainly a reflection of my environment I am creating in and the visions my client wants to achieve. Each project is different and personal to one's vision. I love to combined different styles together and mixing organic shapes with more structural shapes.  Within my work I like to use timeless classical colors that help enhance a space rather than age. I like to use a mixture of rich colors and light. My main focus in each project I do is to create a space that can be lived in and used every day. The work is meant to look beautiful, but also reflect the movement of daily life. I want my work to be indulged in rather than awed at. I create in the hope to help individuals obtain spaces that are worth living in and experiencing.
